  Tech services firm, DXC Technology, will jointly collaborate with Temenos AG, a financial software service company, to push the digitization process for Malta-based FCM Bank. FCM Bank will capitalize on the expertise, resources, and experience of both DXC Technology and Temenos AG to replace its back-end operations with a more modern system as part of its plans to expand. DXC will be in charge of moving various data to Temenos’ new platform. ETSY UPDATES BANK DETAIL CONFIRMATION, VENDORS UNCONTENT

  Online sales platform, Etsy, says vendors in the U.S. will have to verify the bank accounts themselves or through a third party, in compliance with anti money laundering and other related regulations. According to Reuters, vendors who were engaged showed displeasure towards the decision by Etsy. This suggests that vendors would have to make sensitive financial information known to third party fintech app , Plaid. Vendors on the platform received emails pertaining to the new addition to their app. However, there have been complaints by about the process. Some have decided to exit the platform altogether. “Unfortunately, a history of less-than-stellar communication and customer service contributes to a general lack of trust in Etsy,” said an anonymous vendor. Despite a case concerning the alleged use of financial information without consent with nearly $60 million in settlements, Plaid has assured customers of a safe, reliable experience.

UK fiber broadband operator, Netomnia, is announcing the setting up of its full fiber multi-gigabit network in Bristol, Wrexham, and adjoining communities. Netomnia’s plan is to invest in these areas to increase seamless access to its fiber broadband services. A media release states that works have begun in the suburbs of Bristol and Wrexham, with other communities to follow in the process. The company is targeting 159,000 premises for Bristol and 40,000 premises for Wrexham to provide an unwavering, accelerated broadband speed to its network of users among other benefits. The Subscriber Data Management (SDM) introduced by Nokia, a communications and IT firm, has been chosen by Pakistani Telecommunications company, Jazz, to better improve the management of subscriber data (HLR/ HSS) while facilitating new products and services. The move by Jazz forms parts of its “expansion and deployment strategy” as the telecom company readies itself to refurbish to a cloud-based SDM structure by 2025. INTEL AND BROOKFIELD INFRASTRUCTURE TO CONTRIBUTE TO GROWTH IF SEMICONDUCTOR INDUSTRY

Intel Corporation has entered into an agreement to contribute to Arizona semiconductor industry by funding. The corporation signed a joint agreement with Brookfield Asset Management, a subsidiary of Brookfield Infrastructure, in that regard. An estimated $30 billion is said to pushed into the industry to encourage more chip making “on shore.” Intel will have the majority of shares in the project pegged at 51% while Brookfield Asset Management retains the remainder. Tech company, Apple Inc, has extended the availability of its Self Service Repair to MacBook Air and MacBook Pro devices with the M1 range of chipsets . In this regard, customers will be able to get user-friendly tools and knowledge on how to repair their Apple devices themselves instead of taking them to a store for repairs.   An Israeli cybersecurity firm, NSO Group, has disclosed the stepping down of its co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Shalev Hulio, from his position as part of an in-house restructuring in the firm. REGULATIONS FOR DIGITAL LENDING TO ENCOURAGE TRANSPARENCY AND CUSTOMER CONTROL

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued regulations that will guide digital lending firms in their line of business. These regulations are targeted at giving customers more control and offering transparency in transactions, helping them to track down wrongs. In a media release, RBI says it has put together a working group to help support orderly growth of credit delivery through digital lending methods while mitigating the regulatory concerns, which have been firmed up. These guidelines go from data collection to eligibility for borrowing among others. “All loan disbursals and repayments are required to be executed only between the bank accounts of the borrower and the RE without any pass-through/ pool account of the LSP or any third party. In a bid to enhance the safety of teen users, social media app, Snap Inc. is introducing a new feature to their app to allow parents to keep a check on contacts that their children engage in. This comes after criticisms directed at the company and other social media apps on the protection of younger audiences from harmful content. This feature, known as Family Center, was said to be in development by Snap Inc since October 2021. The feature would require parents to install the app on their devices to link their accounts and have their teens give consent via an invite. This makes it visible to parents the people their children talk to, but not the content of messages, within the last seven days.
