ACCENTURE AND KUBOTA TO ESTABLISH NEW SUBSIDIARY TO ENHANCE ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY

IT services and consulting firm, Accenture, has collaborated with Japanese agriculture vehicle manufacturer, Kubota, to set up Kubota Data Ground, Inc., a platform to digitize the latter’s business model and operations.

Starting from September 1, the setup of this subsidiary,  according to them, will take advantage of its proficiency in digital transformation to provide solutions to basic human necessities and environmental stability.

Again,  the company will expand its human resources and cloud operations to “strengthen and upgrade existing businesses by connecting internal and external services and data.”

Kubota Data Ground, Inc., will operate under four strategic initiatives:  creating sustainability solutions (applying technology to agriculture), promoting business transformations (using digital technology for quality and efficiency in operations), creating digital human resources (training DX specialist to help provide solutions), and building a cloud-based digital transformation platform (focusing on cloud-based data storage and management).

President and Representative Director, Kubota Corporation,  Yuichi Kitao, admits the difficulties faced by the planet in terms of food, climate change and other issues,  despite their commitments to present solutions to them.

“As part of its commitment to being a platform provider that supports life, the well-being of society, and a sustainable environment, Kubota will take on the challenge of contributing to these solutions while still achieving business growth. With this joint venture with Accenture at the lead, we will accelerate the development of new solutions, strengthen our business foundation, and continually create corporate value.”, he added.

“Our goal is to create 360° value for all our stakeholders — our clients, people, shareholders, partners, and communities. Kubota is a leader in addressing global issues in the areas of food, water, and the environment, so this joint venture embodies the combined ambition and philosophy of our two companies,” said  Accenture’s leader in Japan, At sushi Egawa.

“Together we will continue to strive towards a sustainable society by fully leveraging our strengths, including the utilization of data, cloud, and AI, as well as the development of people who specialize in digital transformation.”
