MALTA-BASED FCM BANK ENLISTS SUPPORT OF DXC AND TEMENOS IN DIGITIZING BANKING STRUCTURE

Tech services firm, DXC Technology, will jointly collaborate with Temenos AG, a financial software service company, to push the digitization process for Malta-based FCM Bank.

FCM Bank will capitalize on the expertise, resources, and experience of both DXC Technology and Temenos AG to replace its back-end operations with a more modern system as part of its plans to expand. DXC will be in charge of moving various data to Temenos’ new platform.

The migration to Temenos’ platform will better the bank’s capabilities against cybersecurity threats as well as marketing and all-around productivity. Again, the platform will assist in other functionalities such as “transaction processing, payments, financial crime mitigation, and data analytics.”

“A successful bank needs to be fast and flexible to serve the needs of its customers. FCM Bank collaborated with DXC Technology to deliver and implement the Temenos banking platform, which the bank considers the best in the industry," said Chief Executive Officer of FCM Bank Limited, Marcel Homolka. "We are also launching a new internet banking system that is up-to-date, intuitive, and easy to use.”

“DXC has more than 45 years of experience in the banking and capital markets sector, managing more than 250 million customer deposit accounts and 275 million cards for leading banks globally," said Head of Banking and Capital Markets EMEA, DXC Technology, Andrew Haigh. "Building on this experience, DXC is proud to partner with FCM Bank on this exciting new chapter of growth.”

Finally, the President of Strategic Growth at Temenos, Philip Barnett, expressed satisfaction with their movement to a new, advanced platform. This, he said, will help them advance in their market while taking the “burden off legacy IT systems.” FCM looks to better serve its customers via the support and contribution of both DXC Technologies and Temenos AG.
