ASH BARTY TO SERVE AS OPTUS CHIEF OF INSPIRATION OFFICER
Australian Telecommunications firm, Optus, has disclosed a new partnership deal with former professional tennis player, Ashleigh Barty. The former tennis star will occupy a role as the telecom firm’s Chief Inspiration Officer, the first role after her retirement.
“The
partnership will see Barty feature in a mix of content initiatives, employee
engagement programs, and community-focused campaigns aimed at connecting
Australians together and inspiring them to say “yes” to their dreams, goals,
and ambitions.”, states a media release from Optus.
Chief
Executive Officer of Optus, Kelly Bayer Rosmarin, says the former tennis
player’s values tie in with that of the brand and that her addition will be
beneficial to the team and to all Australians. She further commented that Barty
exemplifies “a challenger spirit, determination, and strength” and her service
to her community adds to the reasons the former is excited about their
partnership.
Ashleigh
Barty also made some comments stating how delighted she was being given another
opportunity to make an impact.
“I decided to prioritize Ash Barty the
person, over Ash Barty the tennis player, and in doing so I’ve realized I can
help so many more people through my charity work, my role as the National
Indigenous Tennis Ambassador, and now with Optus as their Chief of Inspiration.
“It’s very humbling that my story has
inspired so many people, but the reality is there are millions of everyday
Australians who have the courage and commitment to say ‘yes’ just like I did. I
welcome the opportunity to encourage more people to say yes to the things they
love.”, she added.
The Power of ‘Yes’ is a campaign launched by
Optus to empower their users in their use of communication to suit their every
need. It also encourages both users and non-users in making the right decisions
that positively impact their lives.
