TICKETMINT RELEASES DIGITAL TICKETING WITH NFT COLLECTIBLES
Smart ticketing platform, TicketMint, has released a digital, NFT related tickets to enable event coordinators identify the authenticity of tickets and other ticketing arrangements.
According to the co-creator of the ticketing platform and
Chief Development Officer at SmartLedger, Gregory Ward, the platform is meant
to connect all stakeholders involved in undertaking events by giving fans NFT
collectibles along with the experiences from the event. They posit that the
platform helps to avoid any form of foul play in the ever-growing industry,
solving the problems encountered by fans.
Commenting
on the digital ticketing, Mr. Ward said “As a ticketing platform, TicketMint
will help capture lost revenues and increase sales by mitigating fraud,
forgery, and counterfeiting. This reduces the impact of ticket scalping and
price gouging by allowing artists and event organizers to regain control of the
secondary ticketing market.”
On
the other hand, Co-Founder of SmartLedger and Public Policy Director for the
Bitcoin Association, Bryan Daugherty said “TicketMint has solved the global
fraudulent event ticketing problem by utilizing blockchain to allow artists and
event venues to issue and release uniquely numbered and timestamped digital
tickets. These utility NFT’s offers gated access to physical or virtual
events.”
“The
platform allows granular control of pricing and sales in secondary markets
mitigating if not eliminating the ability of scalping. Additionally, digital
amenities and upgrades can be added to any ticket for extra rewards, redeemable
perks, and VIP access.”
The
platform was used at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, Los Angeles, for events
held. The tickets presented contained limited edition features and other perks
available to the ticket holder. They say it will be used again for blockchain
educational event at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center.
They also encourage organizers to come aboard their platform as they continue
to improve their innovations.
