ORANGE GROUP SECURES SISTER COMPANIES SCRT AND TELSYS FOR EXPANSION AND SERVICE ENHANCEMENT

Orange Group cyber security subsidiary, Orange Cyberdefense has announced the acquisition of Swiss information security specialists, SCRT and Telsys.

According to a media release, the cybersecurity firm seeks to establish its presence within the Swiss market as well as a go-to cybersecurity firm in Europe. They will further establish themselves as a cyber threat intelligence hub to better position themselves against breaches within the European market. The addition of SCRT’s cybersecurity expertise and Telsys’ management solutions will diversify their service options to customers to offer premium, 24/7 IT services.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Orange Cyberdefense, Hugues Foulon, says: “We are delighted with this acquisition and happy to welcome these new teams as they will strengthen all of our capabilites. This is another step forward in our goal to establish ourselves as the European leader in cybersecurity. We are accelerating into the seventh cybersecurity market in Europe and thus consolidating the position of the Orange Group in the Swiss market”.

Chairman of SCRT and Telsys, Eric Delangle, added: “This operation will enable us to pursue our leadership project in Switzerland by relying on the size of Orange Cyberdefense, its portfolio of services and its operational model to better serve our national customers.”

Orange Group is placing priority on the growth and expansion of Orange Cyberdefense with a turnover of over fourteen percent and a target of one billion euros by 2023. The current acquisition expands their network to nine countries France, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, UK and now, Switzerland.
