BROOKS PARTNERS WITH ILLUMINO TO IMPROVE RESILIENCE AGAINST CYBER ATTACKS
Cybersecurity company, Illumino Inc., is being selected by footwear manufacturer, Brooks, to assist in dealing with probable cybersecurity threats and breaches.
Brooks says that serving its public with superior quality
in footwear would mean well-protected IT resources and data collected from its
customers – “not
just for its own operations, but for preserving the integrity of its customer
data as well.” They intend to enlist the use of Illumino’s cyber protection
platform.
Illumino Core, a product from Illumino, uses its Zero
Trust make up to protect external cyberattacks on data centers and cloud
storage units. The Zero Trust Segmentation bases its traffic entry on the allowlist
model, where network users validate their entry into the network of
organizations instead of assuming they are not a threat and giving them free
access.
“Illumio
is a strategic technology in our work to protect the business against
ransomware, which is a top priority not only for my team, but the company
overall. Ransomware attacks can have a major impact on retail brands – they can
limit our availability, halt operations, and damage our trust with customers.”
said Senior Security Engineer at Brooks, Ryan Fried.
“Illumio
provided value to Brooks right out of the box, with a visualization of our risk
across the network. With Zero Trust Segmentation, we’re able to automate and
create segmentation policies which control unwanted communications and
proactively contain a potential breach to limit its impact on the organization,”
he added.
With this partnership and the increase of organizational
breaches, Brooks can secure important data and monitor every online
communicative process within their network to set borders for ones that are not
needed. They can also test the ZTS function before making them live in their
network.
“At a time when cyberattacks are a constant and daily occurrence, organizations are looking for simple, reliable, and modern approaches to reduce risk. Zero Trust Segmentation isolates attacks so they cannot spread across your hybrid attack surface, which drastically limits their impact. As a major retailer, Brooks has a responsibility to both keep its customers’ data secure and its own operations running. At Illumio, we’re proud to help Brooks fulfill its mission and foster trust with customers by building resilience throughout its network,” said Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Co-founder at Illumio, PJ Kirner.
