JOHN N. STEWART CHOSEN AS PART OF LASTPASS BOARD


Password management platform, LastPass, has appointed ex-Cisco Senior Vice President and Chief Security and Trust Officer, John N. Stewart, as part of their board. This selection was made with reference to the knowledge, experience, and expertise garnered by Stewart in terms of leadership and internet security.

According to a press release, Stewart has served on various boards and in various data protection firms. He is touted as an individual who, based on track records and commitment, seeks to push initiatives bordering protection and privacy of data. 

“John has long been a visionary in security, applying his experience and insights to bringing cutting-edge technologies to some of the most complex security challenges,” says Chief Executive Officer at LastPass, Karim Toubba. “His leadership and expertise will help influence LastPass to make key investments in the dynamic identity management market.”

The release states Mr. Stewart’s role as “assisting with the oversight of LastPass’ business management, corporate activities and strategic planning, assessing performance and representing a number of different stakeholders.” Mr. Stewart expressed his eagerness to help in driving the company to further success.

“I’m honored to join the LastPass board and am eager to serve among some of the best in the business,” said Stewart. “I look forward to drawing on my experience in delivering innovative security solutions to help drive LastPass toward continued industry leadership and global success.”
