BRILLDOG ACQUIRING IP TO NEXTERUS SCMS PLATFORM

Supply chain technology company, BrillDog, says they are completing the acquisition of intellectual property (IP) from supply chain technology and management system firm, Nexterus, to further the former’s position of helping small and medium enterprises (SME).

With this acquisition, BrillDog will access resources from Nexterus to present a supply chain management system to address the operational needs of SMEs while putting them in a position to grow and expand.

BrillDog also explains that Nexterus’ Fusion Center, a transport management system, will be used to execute payment and service management functions. Electronic dispatch, shipping label creation, status tracking, claims management, freight bill audit and pay, automated billing and suchlike will be covered by the Fusion Center platform.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Founder of BrillDog, Sam Polakoff, says: “Small companies are often left to fend for themselves when it comes to supply chain software. Big companies can afford expensive ERP and transportation management systems (TMS), but smaller companies can't. Small businesses often must use spreadsheets and multiple, separate tools to get things done. BrillDog brings real-time, cloud-based supply chain analysis, management, and actionable insights to small and medium-sized businesses, helping them improve efficiencies and bottom-line profits.”

Polakoff also discloses that this platform has “small-to-medium” businesses in mind, thus its introduction. Also, the company, through its .Net foundation, will help in making apps without cumbersome coding technicalities involved, presenting an easier approach to give business value.
