SILICON LABS OPENS NEW OFFICE IN HYDERABAD, INDIA

Wireless technology leader, Silicon Labs, says they are opening their new office in Hyderabad, India, the largest global center for wireless technology operations, on September 28, 2022. 

This forms part of their expansion plans while growing the expertise and size of its team in developing products and solutions that advance its use and end-user experience.

Officials who joined in the inauguration of Silicon Labs’ office include Principal Secretary of the Industries & Commerce (I&C), Shri Jayesh Ranjan, Information Technology (IT) Departments of the Telangana Government, Matt Johnson, and President, and Chief Executive Officer at Silicon Labs, Manish Kothari among other executives and industry leaders.

Minister for Information Technology, Municipal Administration & Urban Development, Industries & Commerce, of Telangana, Shri k. T. Rama Rao, showed excitement over the interest placed on Hyderabad as a hub for global tech investment.

“The Government of Telangana has successfully created a thriving environment for global companies to access and engage the best talent in the country. Silicon Labs' active role in the Smart City Living Lab will witness next-generation technologies - being designed in India for the world - to improve safety, sustainability, energy efficiency, and overall quality of life in densifying cities. I believe Silicon Labs' corporate culture will also support a more inclusive and varied workplace, attracting young and diverse talent to the technology sector.” He disclosed.

Silicon Labs has touted its Hyderabad office as “its fastest growing and largest wireless development center” as they received just about 500 employees with an estimated expansion to 1,500 employees by 2025.
