QUALCOMM AND SAMSUNG TO CONTINUE THEIR PARTNERSHIP THROUGH 2030







Tech processor manufacturer, Qualcomm Inc. has disclosed in a statement that it will continue to partner with Samsung Electronics to further improve customer experiences with the latter’s Galaxy devices.

The two companies made an
agreement to extend their patent license agreement through 2030. According to the release, their patent will cover the third to sixth generations of wireless mobile telecom tech.

A subsidiary of Qualcomm Inc., Qualcomm Technologies also agreed to continue partnering with Samsung to give users premium experiences in line with their track record and commitment.

President and Chief Executive Officer at Qualcomm Inc., Cristiano Amon, has indicated both sides are willing to continue working together.

“Our relationship with Samsung has never been stronger. For more than two decades we’ve worked together to lead the industry and we are pleased to continue this strategic partnership to develop innovative technologies and products using Snapdragon platforms to power more Samsung premium devices globally.”

President and Head of MX Business at Samsung Electronics, Tae-moon Roh explained how important “Qualcomm’s innovative technology” is to the growth of the industry. He has also expressed that their continuous collaboration will “advance the mobile industry and users’ experiences for future Samsung Galaxy devices.”
