CELLULAR SIDE: LAUNCH EVENTS IN AUGUST

Smartphones, over the years, have provided many users with handy tools that can perform multiple actions, even as pocket-sized as they might look, plus they might include additions. It is quite easy to say smartphones have made living life a tad effortless. Understandably, smartphones, as the name implies, have evolved: UI/UX modifications, body improvements, significant processing speeds, and the list goes on.

With new introductions and constant improvements to better serve their target market, launch events are held to describe the specifications and functions of smartphones and other accessories. August promises to be a month of new flagships. But as the clock ticks, let’s explore these future events in detail.

ZENFONE 9

The Zenfone 9 will be the new flagship presented to the world by tech company, Asus. The company announced a virtual launch event slated for July 28, 2022, at 13:00 GMT. This replaces the Zenfone 8 release in May of 2021.

As per the information available, the phone is said to include a Snapdragon 8+ GEN 1 chipset, the latest and “premium-tier” processing chip by Snapdragon. Among other specs are a 4300mAh battery, vertically-placed dual cameras, dual stereo speaker, and suchlike.

SAMSUNG GALAXY UNPACKED

Samsung is set to release yet another device within its wearable circle: the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro. This will be a new addition to, and seemingly, an upgrade from the previous Galaxy Watch 4 series. Alongside, the event will put on view the Galaxy foldable: the Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4, among other devices.

Information released does not go into the nitty-gritty of the yet-to-be-released headliners. However, with the Galaxy watches, there have been hints on some possible physical features. The Galaxy watches are rumored to have an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, an increased battery capacity, and fast charging features. Samsung has confirmed the release date as August 10, 2022, at 13:00 GMT, and it will be a virtual event. 

MOTOROLA RAZR

Motorola Mobility, a subsidiary of Lenovo, looks to reclaim mass attention as they introduce the flippable Motorola RAZR 2022. The launch will feature alongside their Moto X30 Pro smartphone. The launch is confirmed to happen on August 2, 2022, in China (and possibly other places, too).

The flip phone is said to have a 6.7inch AMOLED display and a possible Snapdragon GEN 1 chipset for boosted processing speeds. It could come with up to 12 gigabytes of RAM and 512 gigabytes of storage space.

ONE PLUS 10T

One Plus has positioned itself as a well-sought-after tech item when talking about smartphones. Their yet-to-be-released flagship, the One Plus 10T, will be released at an event scheduled for August 3, 2022, at 19:30 IST (13:30 GMT).  

It will also include a punch-hole cutout at the center for selfies (16mp), a three-sensor rear camera (50mp, 8mp, 2mp), the latest Snapdragon 8+ GEN 1 chipset, 4800 mAh for battery capacity with fast charging. It also houses the new Android 12 operating system.

Other smartphones from makers such as Xiaomi, Poco, and Vivo among others will have their events in the same month.

Smartphones have grown – and are still growing – into machines that can handle almost anything net related. With these and many other releases, the world will continue to evolve to bring about customer attention and satisfaction.

IBM JOINS HANDS WITH RAPIDUS TO ADVANCE CHIPMAKING IN JAPAN
